The federal record

The consortium’s federal filing

On 15 March 2025 the consortium filed a formal response to the United States federal Request for Information on the National AI Action Plan, docketed at 90 FR 9088 and published by the National Coordination Office for Networking and Information Technology Research and Development.

The submission runs to six priority areas examined through four stakeholder lenses, which produces twenty-four discrete recommendation blocks, each with a proposed action, a rationale, an evidence base and a statement of who benefits. The six areas are infrastructure and hardware, model development and open source, security and data privacy, education and workforce, energy efficiency and sustainability, and innovation, intellectual property and competitiveness.

It is the most authoritative document the consortium has published, because it sits on a government server with a date on it and can be read by anyone.
